Does anyone know if there is a stage version of "The Cross and the Switchblade" available? If so, who is the publisher/person to contact for rights? My husband is interested in directing this show if there is. I've checked the usual publishers, i.e. Samuel French, Dramatists, etc. I've done web searches. I just can't seem to find it anywhere, but my husband thinks he's seen it on the stage before. Can you help? Thanks! |

There was a movie by this title starring Pat Boone. As far as I know, it was based upon a book. You might check the fountain of all knowledge, Amazon.com to see what they show.

Your inability to find the play after all your searching
indicates to me that there is little likelihood of the play existing. Since David Wilkerson's book and it's movie are still very popular with religious groups, it's possible your husband saw an "unauthorized" staging of the book by a church or youth organization performing its own adaptation. |
