Hi there,
?
I wanted to reply regarding using MIDI/audio backing tracks as
an alternative source for accompaniment in musicals. Over the
years I've been asked in addition to playing piano and MD'ing
shows, to create backing tracks when other musicians aren't
available or even creating accompaniment tracks from the
scores themselves. Anyone using this or had experience?

Also, I've just completed playing and working as music director/
keyboardist for "Footloose," and we have a production/
rehearsal CD available for anyone interested.
?
It is a backing track, used alongside myself, a live keyboardist,
custom recorded for the show. It was sequenced via MIDI, but
played back high quality sampled instruments and I've been
told is by far the best sounding accompaniment tracks available
anywhere via the net or otherwise.
?
If any interest, email me at mrpianisteb@comcast.net or any
interest in other shows (we have "Oklahoma," "Grease," "Once
Upon A Mattress," "Calamity Jane," "Bye Bye Birdie," and
others). ?For any musical or opera, custom work is available for
a low cost alternative to full live bands/orchestras! Now
accepting orders for upcoming theater seasons.
?
Take care all and good luck on all your productions!
