Hello! I am running a new children's theater company. It is getting close to audition time, and the last piece of our puzzle is insurance for the production.  The theater we are renting needs to have our insurance info by the beginning of June, and, every quote we have gotten is 15-20, 000 a year, and they wont simply sell us insurance for the short amout of time that we need- seeing as our season is only in the summer. So, Ive been looking for an insurance company that sells some kind of production insurance for a short period, but I cant find any! We're in the southern california area--if anyone has any info, i would so appreciate it!! thanks-a-million!

WOW! That's expensive. Okay, I know just enough about insurance when renting building to know a few questions. Ask the building owner what kind of insurance they need for you to have. What do they want for you to have covered?  They should have their own insurance for fire, etc. Remember this request is coming from their insurance company. You should be able to pick up something that just covers liability. That's what we do up here in Maine.

We have one here that would of no use to you -but it covers short term insurance policy?s called ?Duck for cover? set up to cover your situation - I?m sure there would be a Company offering the same over there.
Also if you have not got any normal insurance coverage for your group at present - Join the AACT  & Get a cover note today! Spread the cost over  the membership fees!
