Seem like most of the Community Theater sites have ground to a halt. The Green room used to always have new threads of discussion and AACT the same - now it seems like weeks between messages. Is everyone that busy?

I was thinking the same Doug. We have been busy, but kept checking on the sites, always get helpfull hints.
We just completed a musical comedy, Romeo Loves Juliet, by Gerald Murphy. Cast of 18. Finially got some younger people to work with us. Youngest was 14yrs., seniors to 78. We all had a good time and most important, so did the audience. Did four show plus having Seniors bused to the dress rehearsal. Total tickets 370.We are of course bust'en all our buttons, Not bad for newbees and our third production. Ruth |

Hi Doug,
I haven’t left any grass grow under my feet. Since before Christmas, I’ve been up to my “Flytrap” with directing “Little Shop Of Horrors.” I closed my last directing effort in June and immediately began planning for “LSoH.” I’m on the boards 4-5 days a week, wake up at 4AM with the tune “Suddenly Seymour” ringing in my brain and keep thinking I am being swallowed by a “Big Green Mother from Outer Space.” Whew… No wonder I don’t have time to write! I have little time for anything else right now. This directing stuff is tough. I might retire and go back to techie stuff. When I was an LD I only had one boss -- The director. Now that I am directing, everybody is my boss. :) Sorry for the shameless plug, but I can’t resist -- “Little Shop Of Horrors” opens mid-March near Philly, PA. If anyone is going to be in the area or is from the area and is interested in coming out to see it, drop me an e-mail at FiatLux@email.com The show won’t disappoint you. It would be great to see my forum friends there. DOUG -- If you come all the way from Washington State, I’ll a purchase tickets for you and your guest and I’ll spring for dinner. How’s that for a bargain? I’ve been jumping on the Forums, doing a quick read to see if I can comment on anything fast and jump off. There haven’t been a lot of good questions lately. Not that all of them are not important, but questions like “How long does it take paint to dry if you watch it?” just isn’t my kind of question to answer (he said with tongue firmly planted in cheek). The funny thing is that I have been getting many requests off-line of the forums. People asking me to send info regarding something they saw that I posted. I wish they would contact me on-line so the requests and replies can be shared with everyone. Gotta’ go. Audrey II needs her mid-night feeding “Henh, Henh, Henh, Henh…” Fiat Lux! Bil (Always Here 24/7) K. PS: RUTH -- Congrats on your successful show. |
