Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to make snow mounds that actors can sit on. I don't need many, and I will have high school kids building them.

Throw a sheet of batting over... well, pretty much anything? A platform, a desk...
If you wanted to be really precise, you could build a wooden platform and wrap/cover it with chicken wire. Then cover/attach batting to that and you're good to go. |

I use white sheeting over the chicken wire for stability, then the batting. I like to safely place a glowing light underneath the mound to give it a soft effect as well. Good luck!
