Thanks for the tip. I *certainly* didn't mean to imply that stage crew is not important. I guess what I meant was that my inital goal was to participate in a production as an actress and getting this medium-sized part fullfills that goal more than being an ASM did. I'm truly sorry if I sounded haughty or unappreciative. I suppose another reason I said that was that when I was an ASM, I didn't really *do* very much and felt kind of silly some of the time. Mostly I just sat and watched rehearsals, which was very enjoyable, but I didn't feel like I was aiding the production very much. I fully attend to help out backstage some more in the future. Again, I'm SO sorry if I gave anyone the wrong impression. In actuality, I think I was going for the opposite effect. I was trying to make sure people didn't think I was being pouty for not getting a "lead" role or something. Please don't hate me . . . .
