We are a community theater whose core group is mostly High School Kids but would love to have more adults involved.  We used to get alot more adults involved but that has faltered.

We are looking at doing a 30 minute play at area festivals this year to try to get more adults interested in doing theater with us.  Less than 6 adult parts male and female would be ideal.  I thought a comedy or murder mystery would be nice but really anything works.  It will be done at area festivals so it also has to be family appropiate.  If anyone has any other ideas how to attract more adults I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks

"You Donít Have to Feed A Cello" has a cast of 15- 10 females and 5 males- and is published by Heuer Publishing. www.hitplays.com
Synopsis: "You Donít Have to Feed A Cello" is a young manís worst nightmare, his own personal life, mistakes and failures, brought hilariously to the stage in embarrassing moments orchestrated and revealed by a Greek chorus of six nagging mothers in his head. Vexed and hounded by finger-pointing failure, nagging guilt, missed opportunities, and a sonís duties and responsibilities, a playful, comical, paranoid theatrical presentation of a
conscience riddled by a motherís overprotective love and good intentions.
5 Males, 10 Females (Some Flexible casting).
     Good luck in your search,
M.

I have a wide array -

My clue parody, "The Murderous Mansion of Mr. Uno" is a very fun one-act murder mystery with alternate endings voted on by the audience. Like most murder mysteries, it has some sauciness, but nothing inappropriate. You can read that one here:

For a smaller cast, with a few adult roles, look at Anna and August, which is a romantic comedy.

And, of course, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon (I feel like I'm recommending this thing to death, but the fact that is so flexible is probably why it gets done so much)
