    Posted: 4/28/10 at 4:11pm

Wheaton Drama, Inc. (WDI) will close its 2009-2010 season with CHICAGO.

With music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, this Tony® Award winning musical is based on the 1926 play “Chicago” by Maurine Dallas Watkins, based in turn on real-life stories she covered as a Chicago Tribune reporter.

Watch Roxie Hart, Velma Kelly, “Mama” Morton, Billy Flynn, and more bring such iconic songs as “All That Jazz”, “Razzle Dazzle”, “Mr. Cellophane” and “Cell Block Tango” to Playhouse 111 in this sexy and satirical look at celebrity criminals.

WDI’s CHICAGO cast is: Garrett Ard as Billy Flynn; Harrison Ashley as Sgt. Fogarty/Jury; Julie Bayer as Velma Kelly; Jennifer Ciombor as Katalin Hunyak; Angela DeMarco as Liz; Nicole Dizon as June; E.L. Dusanek as Mary Sunshine; Reneisha Jenkins as Matron “Mama” Morton; Kenny King as Aaron; Keith Laug as Master of Ceremonies/Judge; Sara Malloy as Annie; Heather Miller as Roxie Hart; Mark Mocarski as Fred Casely/Harry; Jessica Orozco as Go-to-Hell Kitty; Julie Rodgers-Baker as Mona; Jaime Sandoval as Amos Hart; Daniel Scobey as Harrison/Tailor.

CHICAGO is directed by Craig Gustafson, assisted by Genevieve Pastore. Musical direction is provided by Sue Kinney-Watschke and Tracy Adams is the choreographer. Production managers are Genevieve Pastore and Steve Schroeder. Bruce Ebner is the stage manager.

Additional production staff are: Ben Aylesworth (master carpenter); Ken Beach (production photographer); Traci A. Cidlik (graphic design); Jeni Dees (hair and make-up); Denny and Dolly Jamieson (tickets); Melissa Heischberg (costumes and website); Andy Kanturek (video); Jo-Ann Ledger (publicity); Steven Merkel (publicity photos and sound design); Kate Quan (programme); Michael Smid (properties); Jim Van De Velde (lighting design); Gretchen Woodley (costumes); Peggy Young (set decoration).

Performances of CHICAGO are May 28 through June 20, 2010. Shows are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets are $21 each, except Thursdays, which have a special price of $18 per ticket. CHICAGO is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

Wheaton Drama's 2010-2011 season will include The Drowsy Chaperone, Little Women, Twentieth Century, All My Sons, and 1776.
