Topic: need help with Audacity sound editting Posted: 3/11/10 at 3:19pm |
I downloaded Audacity to edit the music for my show. I need to clip some music here and there to play for my show. I have managed to figure out how to edit/cut the songs and then I saved them under one name. But, when I went back to play the new project, Audacity split my music into several files. Is there a way to keep it in one file?

I don't know Audacity, but it is proably about like anything else. You mark the timeline to indicate what parts you want to save. Next you tell it to "render" or "export" the file. It will give you an opertunity to pick a file type (wave or mp3 most likely). Then you click save. If you just save will save as a project. Does that ring a bell?

If I understand correctly, you are trying to save everything as one file. You need to go to File then select "Export as WAV" or "Export as MP3." For MP3 you will need to have the LAME add-on installed (it will prompt you if you don't. |
