Does anyone have sound files with multiple cell phone rings? I've heard them in several theaters and have tried to make my own as background sound for my cell phone announcement, but they don't sound as well. Thanks!

I have never heard of that. We just make an announcement for those that are possibly illiterate and cannot read it in the program....

Old volunteers never die, they just get recycled!

Hi!

If anyone sends me one, I'll forward it to you. Yes, I make an announcement too and we put signs up, but this is funny and I've heard it at two different prof. theaters. Multiple cell rings go off, continue under the announcement, and then slowly fade. I'll make one myself if necessary but don't want to reinvent the wheel if I don't have to. Thanks for the reply!

Hi Pandora,

The effect you want is used in some movie theatres over here in the UK and is great in surround sound! Trouble is I don't know where you'd get it from. One alternative I have seen (or is it heard!) is to play a single phone's ring tone over the house PA system quite loud just before curtain up. It quietened everybody down and gave a phone reminder at the same time.

As an alternative, how about using a mobile phone detector in a corridor leading into your auditorium. This one is highly configurable with visual and/or audible warnings.
