Community Theater Green Room Discussion Board: Collapsing blade knife

   I need a large, collapsing blade knife/dagger for the final fight in Beauty & the beast.  All I can find for sale out there is a little plastic thing that won't be seen very well at a distance - and if it is seen, it looks like a fake knife.

Anyone have a source?  I'm uncomfortable taking a "real" metal/metallic blade knife and replacing the tang with a spring; I can see it hanging up at the worst possible time and poking (or worse) the stabbee.

I don't plan on leaving the knife in - we have the Beast tumbling down the steps from the balcony afterward and i don't even want to think about trying to make that safe!
