My 9y/o is playing Annie and needs a wig. Where can I find an Annie wig that does not cost a fortune, but is realistic. I would like it even better if it was actually strawberry blond like Annie from the Universal movie. Most of what I have seen is such a bright red that is looks fake. Suggestions please. Daisy Ruth |

I don't know how close you are to an city but I usually buy wigs at an actual wig store....just buy their cheapest ones. In New York there are wonderful sort of "junk stores" that sell cheap jewelry, fake nails, feather boas etc. They often have wigs in the 20$ range....not great but better than what you would get at a party/ Halloween store. Try looking under "novelty stores" in your yellow pages.

I'm not sure, but depending on the build of your child, you may be able to purchase an "afro" type wig , now that it's closer to Halloween. If her head is large enough to fit the wig, and you find one that is the right color, it can always be trimmed with scizzors to make it less "pouffy". I did this last year with my Halloween Costume. I went as Richard Simmons, and found an afro with great color, but it was waay too pouffy, so we just trimmed it down. It worked great! Good Luck! |

OK. Let's just get this over with. No, I'm not seasick. Yes, I was born this way. No, I DID NOT eat grass as a child. This is my sister, Nessa. As you can see she's perfectly normal.

Hi... This may seem extreme but when we produced Annie we cut and dyed the actors hair. This ensures a natural and realistic look, which worked with our set and costume design. In fact we researched orphanages during the time period, and ended up cutting all of the orphans hair into blunt bobs typical of what they would actually have had. This ended up being a great publicity opportunity, especially when several of the girls were able to donate thier hair to wigs for cancer patients. Our Daddy Warbucks shaved his head at the same time, just before his high school graduation! Hope this helps- Angel |
