for the musical Li'l Abner I am looking for some way to get the "kickapoo Joy Juice" to spark on stage, or at least have some kind of effect that makes it look "strong". Its in a small bucket and I am not sure how to make it spark, or bubble, etc. Any ideas? |

Bicarbonate of soda &/or dry ice will give you bubbles! |

Try adding bicarbonate soda to any sort of fizzy drink (soda water is best, washes out of any material very easily).

Toss a handful or more of "Pop Rocks" candy into
the mixture just before you present it. The drink will sizzle. Cheers! |

Dry Ice will give you great bubbles and noise. (Mad Scientist kind of effect.) But, be careful if this liquid has to be drunk (drank from?) dry ice will "burn" the skin! (-78.5oC, or -109.3oF), it is frozen CO2 gas, it melts directly from a solid (ice) to a gas without becoming liquid first, thus: DRY- ICE. Dry ice, can be used to carbonate water to create sparkling water. Place some drinking water in a glass, and add some dry ice. Allow it to bubble. Water ice may form around the dry ice. If this happens you can either leave it alone, or break it up with a spoon to help the process along. When all of the dry ice is gone, taste the water that remains. It should taste slightly carbonated. |
