In General...what is the average running time for most of the One-Acts
that you'd find on sam french or dramatists? I'm in charge of
selection, but i'd like something no less than 40 minutes. I'd think
that'd be a one act, but if that's uncommon, maybe a full length with
three charactors is the way to go?
Any advice? |

From my experience most one-acts don't run more then 60 minutes, and I have seen ones that where are short at 10 minutes. You should have no problem finding one acts in the 40 minute range. Someone gave me a rule of thumb once for calculating running time from the number of script pages, but I can't remember what it was. DAn |

The basic formaula for most plays (the size of those from Sam French etc.) are about a minute per page so - 35 - 40 pages - about 40 minutes. Most one acts are around 30 - 40 mins |
