I was fortunate enough to see the production of that play that
ultimately won the 2003 national festival. All the costumes were
very dark -- mostly brown or black but were in various shades so
everyone did not look the same. The only color in the entire play
was the yellow sweater buttoned in the middle with one button to look
like a butterfly. The few set pieces were all painted black and
the lighting was very subdued.
What a perfect moment of theater. It is a truly wonderful play. Good luck. Doug |

Hello, You might want to look at local trift stores and get some simple things and make them the way you want them. That is what our community theater does some times. Or You could put an ad in the paper for donations. And see what you get. I wish you the best of luck with this...
