I am currently getting quotes for general liability insurance for a new theater company my partner and I are forming. We will produce four productions a year with 6 to 10 performances each. We will keep our company numbers to under 25. Estimated receipts of $30,000 in ticket sales. Are there any general guidelines about how much we would need? We need to keep it affordable, but still make sure we have enough coverage. Any suggestions?

G?donya! You have the right idea, by thinking about Insurance 1st! Join your Community heater Association. http://www.aact.org/index.htm They have a Community Theatre group Insurance Cover for Public Liability & your member volunteers as well! You may find this a good option, as it has already been set up to cover the needs of Community Theatre! Also they have heaps of info that you need to know, on how to go about IT & how to do IT, in setting up a Theatre Group. Further there is some very valuable information & vital empirical knowledge, Imparted by Mike & Chris Polo, for you to consume, on the front page of this site! I wish you well in your endeavours!
