Hi Tom if you have any to recommend to me I'm new too. I'm interested in doing a dinner theater with a melodrama.

Help! I need ideas for scripts of dramas, comedys, or melodramas, for our first spring production. We need to order soon and start rehearsals. Please advise as to some easier selections with high school students. My phone number is 530-343-3384 Thanks! I need any input possible.

I've never done dinner theatre, but here are a few plays that have done really well at my high school: Melodramas: Tied to the Tracks (musical, but also available as a non-musical) [Pioneer Drama Service], Shut and Bar the Door [Dramatists Play Service, I think], Klondike Kalamity [DPS, also, I think] Dramas: Anne of Greene Gables [Baker Plays] (note: there are different versions of the same title. Get the one from Baker Plays.); The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie [Samuel French] Comedies: Give My Regards to Broadways (musical, but also available as a non-musical) [Pioneer Drama Service], Importance of Being Earnest, Much Ado About Nothing, It Was A Dark and Stormy Night, Arsenic and Old Lace. |
