From Medicine Hat AB. Canada, A Large new Cultural Centre is under construction in our town with a large stage but we couldn"t get the city to foot the bill or even consider putting in a turntable on the stage. I've searched the web but can't seen to find plans for building a removable or semi-perminent or mobile rotating platform.
I know that they are around ,having just seen one in Pheonix with the road tour of Les Mis. I asked and the stage hands say they take it with them, so does any one out there in wings know where plans might be available. "Break a Leg" |

Personally, I phone the Les Mis people and explain your dilemma. Ask to see their turntable and try to copy it/ ask for their plans/ advice. If you don't ask you'll never get.
Phoebe Or you migh be able to construct a simple turntable from roofing boards on casters. The area might be able to be fixed by placing some wooden stops into the stage to stop it whizzing off. In England we call them stage revolves. This might help. Phoebe. :) |
