Does anyone know of a good diction handbook? Unfortunately I did not take this class in college as I graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts, and I would like to study up on the subject.

"The use and training of the human voice" by Aurther Lesac(sp?) is the text we used in class. I think it is pretty standard. anyone want to correct my spelling?

I STRONGLY recommend you find a coach. A book can give you exercises, but can't tell you if you're doing them right or not. You can hurt yourself by practicing incorrectly. |

POB14 is right. you don't want to damage your voice. However the diction work is not to hard on the cords.
