Community Theater Green Room Discussion Board: Light Repair

Message

   Hello

I am in need of parts to repair several older Leko and Fresnel lights for our community theatre. This theatre does not have a lot of money to spend on purchasing new lights or sending them in to a service center for repair. I would also be interested in any theatre that may have upgraded their lighting system and may have some of their older lights to sell or if anyone knows of a reputable dealer that might sell me some parts to fix the lights that I currently have. Any help would be appreciated.

	I've always gotten parts from: http://www.highoutput.com/. Thier web site isn't the greatest, but if you call them they will send you a catalog. The great thing about lighting instruments is that the old ones are nearly as good as new ones for most purposes. Most can be fixed by just replacing cords and sockets. Dan

	a good theatrical supplier should be able to get you what you need. if you are in the mid west try Heartland Scenic Studio 866-341-9121. I can get you the parts you need. ask for Sandy

	Another idea is to try your local rental house. Most of them will sell you their older lights at a pretty good price and they tend to be in excellent condition.
