bullet Topic: good ALICE in Wonderland scripts ?
    Posted: 6/06/05 at 4:35pm

I thought I already posted this but now I can't find it - hmmm, strange. anyhoo                                                                        Someone posted this on another thread but I wanted to put it up again.

Can anyone recommend any good (musical) versions of Alice In Wonderland?

I've read the MTI version and I like it but I thought I should peruse some more.

Is there a version out there based on the Disney version?  With songs like 'Happy Unbirthday' and such?

Thanks for your help!

Hi,
I received a demo CD from MTI entitled "Musicals from the Disney
Collection," and while it doesn't contain "Alice in Wonderland", they may
also have it available if you ask. On this CD is Disney's "Cinderella," "101
Dalmations," "The Jungle Book," "Aladdin," "Beauty and the Beast" and
"Aida."
I have a nice script for a non-musical version, if you're interested, that
we used at Interlochen several summers.

I'd be interested in more info on that script, Colin...I've been hunting for 3 years for a script that does justice to the book.

I think the old Eva LaGallienne script (through Samuel French)
is terrific - very true to the book, with lots of fun special effects to
play with.
