I'm a recent college graduate, 23, and fairly new to the Boston area.  Now that I'm in the "real world," I need a hobby that I'm passionate about to contrast my mundane cubicle life.  I would love to get involved with community theatre.  I don't have a lot of experience, but I've loved singing and dancing throughout my life.  As for the minimal experience that I do have...I've been on stage in a small community theatre production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat (but I was only 8 at the time!), I played Winifred in Once Upon a Mattress during high school, I worked as a dance teacher for 2 summers at a sleep-away camp in Maine, and last summer I was the drama department's choreographer/assistant director for their production of Annie.  That's about it. 

Does anyone out there know of any welcoming groups in the Boston area?  I've already contacted a theatre and volunteered to help them build their set this weekend.  I figured that would be a good way to inch my way into the community theatre scene.  Does anyone know of any specific places that could use an enthusiastic and reliable gal like myself?  Please post a response or email me at: KateTheBabysitter@yahoo.com
