I am looking for suggestions for a holiday play. Not a full scale musical but it could possibly have music or not (and preferably a small or medium-sized cast). I am seeking alternatives to the usual Christmas Carol and we've done Sorry, Wrong Chimney. Thanks for anything you can suggest!

Try "Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)"

It's a holiday cousin to "The Complete Works of Shakespeare - Abridged".

We sold out nearly all performances.

Happy Christmas Shirley by Louise Roche
or
Anna of Nazareth by Sue Gordon (that one is a musical, but with relatively simple songs).

There's always "A Christmas Story" -- who doesn't love the movie?

Personally, I'm dying to do Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge, but haven't found a home for it...yet! Christopher Durang lampoons Scrooge, et. al.

Mrs. Bob Cratchit's W.C.B. is a funny one! We would also like to do A Christmas Story, as someone else suggested, but the rights are traditionally restricted in my city (due to a large theatre performing it annually).

The Nutcracker.  I have hated this as a ballet but as a musical it was great.
