I used to take my roll of newsprint in to Kinkos and copy my prop newspapers no problem. Now that they are Fedex, they will not allow you to use your own paper. I'm doing Crazy For You and need to have a newspaper that is ripped every show. Anyone have any ideas how to make the newspapers that I need?

Just seek out other printers in your area who have plotters with the capability to handle your roll of newsprint. Make the phone calls before going to those places. Depending upon the size of the plotter - you can do 36" wide or 48" wide and in some cases even wider though plotters of that size are rare - available but rare. Newsprint should work if you have a proper roll size - I take it you've done it before. WHY Kinkos/FedEx won't do it anymore for you is a mystery. See if you can find another branch in your area and question them about doing it. Maybe it's just the one you are used to going to that won't do it now for some stupid reason. I guess they want to sell you the cost of the paper too. AND if they DO have newsprint to print on, then they're stupid for not taking on the job and making the money. Can't blame them though - if you take in your own paper. It's why they make the kind of money they do I suppose - by selling you the paper as well. It is after all a profit generating business. BUT PAPER is cheap. We use TONS of paper throughout the year (not newsprint necessarily). And I know most sheets of paper - for what we pay - is less than a few cents a sheet - even with the large format papers. Regular letter size stuff is less than a penny a sheet.
Anyway check with other bigger printing firms to see if you have anyone in your area capable of plotting on larger format papers THAT YOU SUPPLY. Someone should accommodate.
Good luck.

Thanks for the response. I checked with all the Fedex in the area and they all said the same thing. Oh well, their loss. Unfortunately the printers I contacted were more expensive than I could afford for the 17 papers I needed to make. Lucked out on this one though... I found a friend who could make the papers for me. Turned out great and all it cost was a cartridge of ink.
