Thank you for the quick and helpful responses to my other questions. I hope I can get some more quick help now, as we are close to opening night and haven't figured out how to attach a fake parrot to Gonzorgo in Babes in Toyland.
The fake parrot from BuyPiratescostumes.com is designed to sit on a shoulder by tying elastic straps around the arm under the armpit. But it doesn't work. Gonzorgo wears the parrot for the entire show, including during a struggle with the spider. He has 3 costumes, one of which is very quick.
I would appreciate any suggestions on how we can handle this problem. We would rather not buy 2 more parrots and sew them into each costume.
Thanks.

Can you modify each costume with strong magnets and snaps for the bird to attach too? or an 'epaulet' that buttons on to each costume? are the shirts/coats all the same color that a 'base' can be attached to the parrot, which then attaches to the costume piece? maybe guy lines that help hold the parrot upright attached to the collar?
