I'd like some ideas on how to quickly make a 8X8 grassy knoll where two lovers sit together.

It would seem the simplest way would be to rake two sheets of 4' X 8' plywood, side-by-side at a slight angle (maybe 7 - 10 degrees), with a few "undulations" added to the surface. Cover the whole thing with a sheet of Astroturf, and maybe add a couple of "rocks" or a fallen log where your lovers may sit. You really don't give enough information for me to be more specific. Good luck with whatever you do, though.

Yeah, what Spectrum said, but put it on a wagon, allowing a little of the astroturf to mask the sides and wheels.
