Any ideas for designing and lettering on headstones for "Cemetery Club". I've experiemented with drimel but looks unprofessional. any good ideas are appreciated |

I am not familiar with that one, but , what are you making the headstones out of? That might make a difference as to what you use for the lettering.

I know I'm answering this long after the original message was posted, but just in case someone else does this wonderful show: When I worked on this show several years ago, we just blocked it in a way that you didn't see the front of the headstones, so you didn't have to have any lettering on them at all. Just an idea. Rhonda |

I once made tombstones for a Hallowe'en project out
of the 2" thick insulation panels available at Home Depot or other building supply stores. Cut (or break) the panels to size. The material is already bluish-gray to begin with so there was only need to distress it a little with spray paint . For the lettering, I stenciled it in pencil (or chalk) then used a soldering iron (or a wood-burning tool would work as well, I suppose). The hot iron melts away the foam instantly and with very little practise I was able to make clean lettering and very intricate designs. |
