We are looking at doing the original radio show of the War of the Worlds on Halloween. I found a copy of the script on the web but I can't find out if the show is still in copywright or not. Anyone know if it is in the public domain or who holds the rights?

As far as I can tell, the rights are owned by the widow of author Howard Koch, and they are administered by Norman Rudman, in California. You can contact him at nrudman@mcn.org. Good Luck, Linda |

Hi Ken, Copies of the original broadcast of "The War of the Worlds" can be downloaded from The Murcury Theatre site at: http://www.unknown.nu/mercury/ Almost all the Mercury Theatre broadcasts are on this site in Real Audio or MP3 formats. Just thinking... You aren't considering the musical version of TWOTW, are you? In which case, you'll need to get in touch with Jeff Wayne for permission. (Sorry, I lost his contact info six months ago after my computer suffered from a nasty virus attack.) Cheers from Oz, Russell |
