we are doing Singing in the Rain, has anyone had experience with this show, having some difficulty locating period camera's that flash, something that can be used as a 1927 period movie camera

It's probably late for you, but this is what I did for the cameras...For the Movie camera I found pics online and built something similar. I made a rectangular box out of 1/4" plywood, a meat grinder handle for the crank, some small wood knobs painted silver for the various knobs, an old adjusting camera lens for the lens and biult a tripod to hold it up. I used that silver foil tape to outline it and it read great onstage. The handheld camera I built out of wood from pics online again. I rigged a battery operated flashinto the flash area and left the test button open so it would flash when needed. Just be sure to make the battery area accessible to change them. Hope this is helpful. |
