I am a high school director who just saw a taped performance of one of the most delightfully funny plays called, The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood. I almost died laughing. I haven't seen a play like this that is a perfect combo of fairy tale and hysterical comedy before. It is a perfect high school/family comedy. If anyone has heard of this play, could you give me a suggestion to where I might find it. I’ve tried Samuel French and Baker’s Plays and it is not published by them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
: THANKS— Karen |

If you're still looking for info, the playwright is Mary Lynn Dobson. One of her plays, "Two on the Aisle, Three in a Van," was recently produced by Fat Chance Productions. You can find a write-up on that show and a bio of the author at http://www.fatchanceproductions.org/september9.htm
My impression is that this company worked directly with her, so if you're having difficulty securing rights/scripts, you may be able to contact Fat Chance by e-mail and ask them how to get in touch with the author. |
