Have any of you had experience with this one? Our group is considering it for our first production, due to its box-set, cheap costuming and novelty appeal. Comments are appreciated.

I proposed it to our play selection committee a couple of times but it was rejected. The committee said the female roles were written by a man who did not know how to accurately portray women. (I still think it is funny.) I think the two men could be the hit of the show. It has been done in the area a couple of times. I didn't see either of them but I was told that both productions were ok but did not draw great audiences.

We did this play last season and it went great. It played to sold out houses almost every night. It was very funny and the men did steal the show.

We just closed the Odd Couple(female Version) on March 18th 2001. The audience loved it, it was funny, without having to be too realistic, the men were a riot and the characters of the girlfriends were a great supporting cast. I would do it again in a heartbeat, this was the 2nd show of our 2nd season! Good luck!

Our group in Mississippi did this one several years ago, and it was a big success. Our southern actors even used New York accents, which made it even funnier. It was a real crowd pleaser.
